Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Qrcall Pty Ltd, which operates FocusEdge. By installing or using the app you agree to them. They are written to be read, so please do. How we handle your information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

Who can use FocusEdge

FocusEdge is for parents and guardians aged 18 or over, to use on their own phone, or a phone they are responsible for, when a child borrows it. You agree not to install it on another adult's phone, or on anyone's phone without the knowledge of the person responsible for it.

What FocusEdge does, and its limits

• Study Mode lets only the apps and websites you chose open, until you turn it off with your PIN or fingerprint.
• Web protection blocks the types of website you choose, such as adult websites, in browsers FocusEdge can read: Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge and Brave. Outside Study Mode, other browsers are not filtered.

No filter catches everything. Websites change every day, and a determined child may find a way around any app. FocusEdge helps you keep homework time focused; it does not replace your own supervision, and we do not promise that every unsuitable app or website will be blocked.

FocusEdge needs the permissions it asks for during setup to work. Your phone maker's battery settings, or changes in Android, can stop it from running, and we cannot always prevent that.

Your PIN and your account

Keep your PIN private. Anyone who knows it can turn Study Mode off and change your settings. You are responsible for what is done on your phone and with your account, and for keeping the email address on your account up to date.

Free trial and subscription

• FocusEdge starts with a free trial. After it, using the app needs a subscription, sold only through Google Play at the price shown in the app and in Google Play.
• The subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Google Play; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy. We do not see or store your payment details.
• If your trial or subscription ends, Study Mode and web protection pause until you subscribe. Your lists stay on your phone.

Using FocusEdge fairly

You agree not to copy, resell, or modify the app, not to work around its subscription, not to reverse engineer it except where the law allows, and not to use it for anything unlawful. The app, its name and its design belong to Qrcall Pty Ltd; your subscription lets you use them, it does not transfer them to you.

Changes to the app and to these terms

We improve FocusEdge over time, and features may change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using FocusEdge and cancel your subscription.

Our responsibility to you

We provide FocusEdge with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, it is provided as it is, and we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for content a child reaches that FocusEdge did not block. Where the law allows us to limit our responsibility, it is limited to the amount you paid us for FocusEdge in the twelve months before the problem.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have that the law does not allow to be taken away, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India and the Australian Consumer Law.

Ending

You can stop using FocusEdge at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling your subscription in Google Play. To delete your account, email us and we will delete it and the lists stored with it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If something goes wrong, please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out by email. You can also use the courts and consumer forums available to you where you live.
